For Counselors
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program in Mechanical Engineering (International) at Carl Benz School is completed over a duration of 3 years (6 semesters). The program begins with a Pre-Semester, a preparatory course in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The Pre-Semester is mandatory for everyone who is not qualified for direct admission to reach the level required to meet the higher education entrance qualification in Germany. At the end of Pre-Semester, candidates who have not been admitted directly must pass the assessment of eligibility (entrance examination) in order to gain enrollment in the B.Sc. Program in Mechanical Engineering (International).
After two years of intermediate studies, which cover the basic concepts of Mechanical Engineering, the students can choose to specialize in either Automotive Engineering, Energy Engineering or Global Production Management. Carl Benz School students will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree from KIT. The Bachelor's program comprises lectures, tutorials and lab courses with lecturers and tutors coming from different institutes of the KIT. This ensures that the quality of the subjects taught meets the highest standards.
Our CBS College Program shapes the student experience during their studies with additional services including auxiliary as well as academic support such as German language courses, social events, Mentoring, on-campus housing, study and career guidance or e.g. our hands-on SmartFactory∂industry training program as part of the Smart Projects.
