Mentoring
About the program
From the first semester onward, each student of the Carl Benz School (CBS) participating in the CBS College Program, is assigned a personal mentor. Experienced, young doctoral researchers of selected institutes of the Department of Mechanical Engineering conduct the Mentoring Program. A gentle start into the academic life: In addition to the Student Office the mentors will be the first contact persons in the institutes and foster the understanding of teaching and research in Mechanical Engineering at the KIT. With regular meetings, the mentors support the academic and personal development of the College Program students. The students will be able to discuss their study progress, pending questions and career perspectives with their personal mentor in a confidential environment to help them successfully navigate their studies from day one.
